When the weather is diabolical here are some turbo training ideas. Don't forget to warm up and down properly and to stretch.
If you try the routines below you do so at your own risk. Beeston RC can accept no liablity for any injuries incurred so don't go at it like a lunatic.
Most turbo training routines are intervalic and there are no doubt more to try on the internet. If you have a favourite email to me at admin@beestonrc.co.uk and I'll include it on this page.
1
Warm up (10-15mins?) or as long as you need.
Then 15 seconds flat out
15 seconds easy
Keep it up for 10 mins
5 mins steady then repeat 15/15 for another 10
How many reps of 10 can you do?
Thanks to Helen McCullen for the above routine.
2
Warm up (10-15mins?) or as long as you need.
Then 6 sets of a 5 minute routine of
3 minutes hard and 2 minutes easy which will take 30 minutes. You can do more / longer of course if you like.
As you get fitter you can adjust the time to make the easy time shorter and the longer time harder.
Thanks to the webmeister for the above routine.
Thanks to Rodders Rooster Junior for the turbo session below
